Since September 1^st 2005, 2AY has been a part of the ACE Radio Network. ACE is a family

owned company that has been a part of regional radio since 1984 and is a firm believer in

regional radio as a vital part of the local community.

2AY has always had a strong commitment to the local region with sponsorship and donations of advertising totalling more than a quarter of a million dollars each year in radio advertising to the numerous community service groups and organisations in our broadcast region.

Additionally, 2AY has a strong working relationship with both Albury and Wodonga councils, Destination Albury Wodonga and Albury Wodonga Business and as such is a major supporter of many events organise by the above parties.

2AY’s format of News, Talk & Sport allows us the benefit of being able to cover all the major events as they happen, with the added resources of 3AW & 2UE.

Our local news service is the only local commercial radio broadcasting updated local news 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Our local news team is the first point of contact for any and all events happening in and around the 2AY broadcast region.

In short, 2AY has been a vital part of the regions media for over 80 years and with the event of new ownership in recent times, the station is fast becoming the preferred station of an entire new demographic of people wishing to be informed and entertained.

Mitchell began his radio career in March 1987 on 3AW.  He has received a swag of awards as a journalist and broadcaster including six Melbourne Press Club Quill awards, and multiple gongs as the Top Talk Presenter by Commercial Radio Australia. He was furthered honored in 2007 with an A.O (Order of Australia) for services to the community.
